Best Pizza Around

My biggest gripe with this place is that a regular or Sicilian slice is nearly three dollars. I really dislike the Sicilian. It tastes like they cooked it in a pan of lard and the bread acted as a sponge to that lard and absorbed all the grease. Also, they usually leave it in for too long and the bottom gets burned so if you're not into that be sure to say something. One good thing I can say is that the staff is really friendly and the place is really clean. Some people I know love this place but I do hate it. I admit that since there's an offensively huge overabundance of pizza places on Long Island I'm a tough critic and have super high standards, but my favorite Sicilian on all of Long Island; Colosseo next to the DMV, is only one or two traffic lights away, so I don't think I'll be giving Rocco a visit any time soon.

My family and i have enjoyed roccos for quite a while now however today 7/8 we had the worst experience i’ve ever had there. I guess they hired new people because i usually love the employees who work there. However i had a terrible experience with an employee named kaitlyn C / caitlyn C. (Unsure of the spelling) she had blonde hair and was at the register. Ive never met such a rude and unhappy employee - i understand everyone has bad days but she was over the top rude and gave me the wrong change. I had such an unpleasent experience I will no longer be eating here.

I Really do love their regular, Sicilian and grandma vodka slices, but I just wish they had better garlic knots. They don’t even put garlic on it. It’s just a knot with a massive amount of dry parsley. Garlic knots are meant to have fresh chopped garlic & grated cheese with fresh chopped parsley.I once ordered the Mac & cheese and received plain penne pasta with one slice of American cheese Melted onto it ....... They are good they just need to be a little better.

Very good food and very personable everything seems like it's always fresh

Good specialty slices, great chicken rolls. I haven't tried their pasta night yet but I plan to because it's a great deal.

Horrible service and the food isn't good enough to make up for it. My family and I used slice to order and apparently they never got the order, but already took our money. We were waiting for it to be delivered an hour and I called and the girl said we were working on it. Called a half hour later another person said they never got it, WHAT?! So the first girl lied?! We demanded a refund and nobody got on the phone to apologize or offer anything free for the inconvenience. We wound up ordering from Renzo's and they are much better at customer service, not to mention better pizza. What's such a shame is Porta Bello, this place's predecessor was such a good restaurant before it was taken over by this poor excuse of a pizzeria. Will never go back until it's something else.

Mr. Rocco is the man in the pizza world. I can't get enough of you.

We just ordered a bunch of food from here for a very special occasion. Every single person was RAVING about the food. We are new to the area and are so thrilled to have Rocco's close by. They have gained quite a few new customers because of last night's food! The eggplant rollatini was exceptional, the penne alla vodka was a huge hit. All of it was amazing. Thank you for making our special day (wedding) even better!!

Went in the other day and ordered a pie with everything on it. I lived in NY for over 35 years and never had a doughy pie until now. The staff ain’t really friendly either. One girl was on her phone the whole time.

First time trying Rocco's and it won't be the last. I ordered the chicken scarpariello and it was the best I ever had. Food was hot and the people that work there were really nice.

Most "meh" food I've had in a very long time. Which is a real shame, as I just got my paycheck and was really looking forward to some good pizza.Reminded me of something you'd expect in Podunk Pennsylvania or Swampville Florida--not up to Long Island standards by any means. Bland, underdone, below average pizza. Not one hint of garlic (or salt for that matter) in or on the knots, which were just balls of dough with some oil and parsley. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because delivery was decent for a Saturday afternoon and the delivery guy was pleasant enough.

Go recently and about once a month , food is good but no pizza is fresh always reheated but reasonable service, overall great place to eat .

All I asked for was one slice of chicken Marsala and they completely annihilated it. Least helpful and caring staff around. Might as well go get frozen pizza instead

Overall, one of the better pizza/restaurants in the area. We love all their eggplant dishes! Reasonable pricing.

Best pizza around, as someone who moved here to the US from Italy, it was so refreshing to find a pizza place where the food is delicious, the employees are all super friendly and the sauce is just the perfect amount of sweet. Best pizza place by far!

Ordered a sausage & pepper calzone of sorts, and was dissapointed. Raw peppers that crunched was the first bad sign, what I thought was unmelted cheese was actually raw dough ( a little not a lot)...for that and a slice $13, not worth it at all. First and last time.

I have been ordering the same order here for months. However, the last 3 out of 4 times I made an order, it was wrong. So when I called the other night to order, I advised them of this just to make sure it didn't happen again. When I went to pick it up, it was completely wrong. They gave me an attitude about fixing it and then tried to charge me more after I was already charged and explained to them this is now the 4th time this has happened. The girls behind the counter were rolling their eyes and whispering. They will never see me again. There's enough good pizza places around where I don't need to feel uncomfortable due to their error and actually leave with a correct order.

My family goesto this pizza place every week , at least once a week and the food's great, the service is excellent and you can't beat their prices.

We had a recent event catered with Rocco’s and everyone was raving about the food. The penne ala vodka, eggplant rollatini, sausage and peppers and chicken francese are all great choices if you’re catering. And Nick was awesome with all the setup!

Definitely a great place. Pizza is really good and the hero's are very satisfying. You have to try the fried oreo's sooo good.

I've tried this place a few times and every time it was horrible... Calzone all dough and under cooked , meatballs extremely salty, pizza very bland taste .. I wish I can give no stars . I'm better off with Papa John's .. Only thing I can say good is that the staff is nice but the cooks need to learn how to cook Italian.
